Integration into the arts

NAEA Conference: Integration into the Arts

The NAEA conference was a wonderful experience that provided me with many gifts I hope to bring into my own teaching. The importance of integrating other subjects into the arts is something I would like to provide in my own classroom. This providing the depth and exploration that is missing is so many art rooms today. I was really inspired by all the creative visual mapping/ web strategies. This is something that I do more so with my own art and something I would like to provide for my students. Providing the depth and discovery to lessons and allowing students to make connections and understand interests is something I hope to do as an educator.  The importance of being a practicing artist myself I loved the integration of an artist to these ideas and messages. Amy Young’s art  was wonderful and inspiring and I loved this connection and seeing the importance of integration into the arts.
